When looking at Patrick Roy’s career at a glance it’s hard to pinpoint which team he had more of an impact on. Roy’s NHL career spanned from 1984-2003 and in that time he accumulated 28,346 total saves, 15,352 of them with the Montreal Canadiens and 12,994 of them with the Colorado Avalanche. Roy won two Stanley Cup titles with the Canadiens (1985-86 & 1992-93) and two with the Avalanche (1995-96 & 2000-01). In 2006 Patrick Roy was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, his number has been retired both by the Canadiens and the Avalanche. While many players spend the bulk of their career establishing their dominance and reputation with one team Patrick Roy spent his Hall of Fame career with almost equal amount of effectiveness with the Canadiens and Avalanche.
This plaque is autographed and inscribed “HOF 06” by Patrick Roy. Roy’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This plaque is not limited.
